Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Engineering or related field is required.
  • 5+ years in the semiconductor industry with leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in leading high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and inline metrology.
  • Fluent in English in an international environment.

Process Engineering Team Lead - Metrology Engineering

Lead a team of metrology experts at the world's most advanced semiconductor R&D facility. Drive operational excellence, develop talent, and shape the technologies of tomorrow.

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers focused on developing, optimizing, and sustaining state-of-the-art metrology tools and processes that enable next-generation semiconductor technologies. You will guide your team through complex technical challenges, drive innovation in measurement strategies, and ensure seamless collaboration across the fab.

What you will do

As a Process Engineering Team Lead, you’ll lead and develop a team of 14 metrology engineers at one of the world's most advanced semiconductor R&D facilities. You’ll drive operational excellence, shape future technology roadmaps, and empower your team to deliver innovative solutions that enable the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.

This entails the following:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of both junior and experienced metrology engineers supporting one of the world's most advanced semiconductor R&D fabs.
  • Build a high-performing organization through coaching, mentoring, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring the team delivers against performance, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Partner with researchers, operations teams, customers, and external suppliers to align priorities and maximize business impact.
  • Own resource planning, team coverage, and execution of strategic initiatives, including new tool introductions, customer projects, and process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, enabling your team to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure high-quality data analysis, reporting and technical documentation.
  • Stay abreast of new scientific developments within the Metrology area
  • Shape the future of the organization by contributing to technology roadmaps, capacity planning, and long-term strategy.

Who you are
  • You have a Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • You bring 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including several years in a people leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and in-line metrology techniques.
  • You are comfortable balancing technical, operational, and business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • You describe yourself as a proactive, hands-on leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • You are fluent in English and able to thrive in an international environment.
