Job summary

Vlaanderen connect. is seeking a privacy professional to independently design and negotiate data protection agreements and maintain privacy documentation.

You will manage the processing register and ensure up-to-date records, including privacy statements, while supporting the DPO and ensuring GDPR compliance across processes. The role involves conducting DPIAs, advising on privacy by design principles, and maintaining ongoing privacy documentation.

Qualifications

• Executes data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
• Supports the DPO in informing and raising awareness of GDPR.
• Analyzes new tools and data processing activities and applies the data protection by design and by default principles.

Responsibilities

• Follows regulations and guidelines from supervisory authorities and translates them into practice.
• Assists with handling requests from data subjects.
• Assists with reporting and following up data breaches.
• Supports contacts with the competent supervisory authority.
• Keeps the DPO updated on case progress and provides administrative support to the DPO.
