Duration of Contract 9 years (Initial Term of 3 years + three optional 2-year renewal periods)

Location 3 days onsite per week in Brussels – Haren

Atos is looking for a Principal Ada Developer to lead development on high-reliability, safety-critical software. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting the details right when the stakes are high.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years of hands-on Ada development experience
• Deep knowledge of Ada (2005/2012/2022), including tasking, real-time programming, strong typing, and modular design
• Understanding of system architecture, performance optimisation, and safety-critical development standards (e.g. DO-178B/C, MISRA)
• Comfortable with Ada tooling (GNAT, SPARK), Git, and CI/CD for high-reliability systems
• Experience with unit testing (AUnit) and formal verification (SPARK), plus integration with databases or external systems
• Able to lead technical design and architecture for Ada-based applications

Nice to have

• Experience architecting safety-critical or real-time systems (aerospace, automotive, or defence)
• SPARK formal verification or real-time operating system (RTOS) integration
• Track record leading agile teams on large projects in regulated industries

Education & languages

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
