Atos is seeking an ATM Domain Expert to bring deep air traffic management know-how into a technical delivery team, bridging operational requirements and software solutions. The role is based in Brussels with 3 days onsite per week and potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in ATM or related field, with 3+ years in leadership, and strong knowledge of ATM standards (ICAO/FAA) and technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in air traffic management or related field; 3+ years in lead/expert capacity.
• Strong knowledge of ATM systems, standards (ICAO/FAA) and technologies (ADS-B, ACARS, SWIM).
• Understanding of ATM operations, airspace management, and safety-critical system requirements.
• Exposure to software delivery: system integration, data analysis, and programming (Python/Java/C++).
• Strong regulatory compliance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination abilities.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years in air traffic management or a related field, including 3+ years in a lead or expert capacity
• Strong knowledge of ATM systems, standards (e.g., ICAO, FAA) and technologies (ADS-B, ACARS, SWIM)
• Deep understanding of ATM operational concepts, airspace management, and safety-critical system requirements
• Comfortable working alongside technical teams on system integration, data analysis, and software solutions (Python, Java, or C++ exposure a plus)
• Strong regulatory compliance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice to have

• Certifications such as FAA Air Traffic Controller, or similar aviation qualifications
• Experience with next-generation ATM systems (SESAR, NextGen) or real-time data integration
• Familiarity with agile methodologies or aviation software development

Education & languages

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
