Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Project Leader in Geel, Belgium. The Geel site is the largest chemical production site for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) within the JnJ supply chain, focused on reliable supply of medicines and new product launches.

The role involves leading API process equipment projects, aligning teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while driving continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of proven experience leading complex capital projects in chemical/pharma manufacturing.
• Strong collaboration and communication across functions and levels.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance in pharmaceutical operations.
• Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Science preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides project and program leadership for API process equipment from inception to completion.
• Aligns project sponsor and core/extended team to deliver objectives.
• Prepares project intake, scope, business case, and options for approval.
• Facilitates planning, tracking and reporting of key deliverables and objectives.
• Oversees project finances and budget allocation; manages expenses.
• Uses risk management to identify and mitigate risks.
• Leads close-out activities including handover, archiving and lessons learned.
• Maintains awareness of external environment to provide value.

Responsibilities

• Provides project and program leadership for API process equipment across the appropriate stages from inception to completion.
• Establishes alignment with project sponsor and aligns core and extended team to deliver the final project objectives.
• Prepares project intake, including scoping, business case analysis, alternative assessment, presenting the selected option and alternatives for project approval.
• Facilitates the project planning, tracking and reporting against project key deliverables and objectives.
• Oversees project finances: securing accurate budget allocation upon project approval and effectively managing expenses throughout project implementation.
• Uses risk management methodologies to identify and manage risks to project objectives.
• Leads project close out activities including operational handover, archiving, financial project closure, collation of benchmarking information and lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.
• Maintains awareness of external environment, supplying value and insights.

The Anticipated Base Pay Range For This Position Is

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees' and companies' performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
