Job summary

European Tech Recruit, partnering with a Leuven-based semiconductor leader, seeks a Principal Embedded Cryptographic Software Developer to design and implement state-of-the-art cryptographic libraries and secure software across multiple domains.

You will lead cryptographic domains, collaborate with OS/firmware teams, and drive product certification and security evaluations. Strong C/Assembly skills and 10+ years in cryptography are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in math/cryptography/CS/EE (BSc/MSc/PhD).
• 10+ years in cryptography and embedded security.
• Strong implementation skills in cryptographic primitives (ECC, RSA, AES, SHA-2/SHA-3).
• Embedded software development in C and Assembly; knowledge of microcontroller architectures.

Responsibilities

• Specification and cross-platform implementation of cryptographic algorithms and secure software.
• Design countermeasures against side-channel and fault-injection attacks.
• Collaborate with security architects and evaluation teams to enhance countermeasures.
• Provide technical leadership for cryptographic domains and drive architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with OS/firmware teams for secure integration and product readiness.
• Work with test and platform support engineers to ensure quality.
• Drive product certification activities and support security evaluations.
