Job summary

European Tech Recruit seeks a Principal Embedded Software Developer to build cryptographic libraries and protect systems from advanced threats. The role is based in Graz, Austria or Leuven, Belgium, offering a permanent position within a global industrial security team.

Responsibilities include leading cryptographic development, implementing PQC, and coordinating with security architects to ensure secure integration and certification readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cryptography and embedded security experience.
• Strong implementation experience with cryptographic primitives.
• Experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography and/or Rust is a plus.
• Solid embedded C/Assembly development on ARM Cortex‑M or RISC‑V.

Responsibilities

• Specify and implement cryptographic algorithms across platforms, including PQC.
• Design and specify software countermeasures against SCA and FI attacks.
• Provide technical leadership for cryptographic domains and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with security architects, OS/firmware teams, and evaluation teams for secure product integration.
• Drive product certification activities and support security evaluations.
