Activities

The Pricing and Risk Optimization Manager is responsible for ensuring competitive, compliant and strategically aligned pricing in a dynamic energy market environment.

The role combines market intelligence, pricing expertise, risk management and cross-functional collaboration to support business performance and decision making.

• Monitor the Belgian and international petroleum markets, including product quotations, supply/demand trends, geopolitical developments, and regulatory changes impacting prices.
• Perform continuous competitive intelligence, analyzing competitor pricing strategies and market positioning.
• Track and interpret external price references (e.g. market indices, official price publications, market bulletins, geo-political events influencing the commodity and financial market).
• Produce market reports, price evolution analyses, and scenario simulations for management decision making.
• Advising customers on market intelligence

2. Pricing Analysis & Price Setting

• Calculating selling prices for petroleum products by analyzing the price components such as product costs, taxes, logistics, margins, and market benchmarks.
• Specialized in the Belgian program agreement and his price calculations
• Decides and advises the intraday price adjustments in line with market movements, internal rules, and regulatory constraints.
• Responsible for the correctness of pricing tools and systems used for price publication and internal communication.
• Manage the price risk monitoring and ensure compliance with internal price risk management frameworks
• Ensure full compliance with Belgian energy regulations, official pricing mechanisms, and internal governance.
• SPOC for audits and internal controls related to pricing and market processes.

4. Reporting & Performance Analysis

• Responsible for regular reporting on margins, pricing performance, volumes, and market deviations.
• Driver for sales forecasting and assisting budgeting exercises, and long term planning initiatives.
• Deliver ad hoc analyses to support commercial negotiations and strategic decisions.

5. Internal & External Coordination

• Pricing and market expert contact for Sales, Back Office, Finance, and Management.
• Provide market and pricing explanations for the sales team and customers.
• Manage communication related to price changes and market evolution.

Candidate Profile

• You are fluent in both French and Dutch.
• You hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) and have at least three years of successful experience in a demanding professional environment.

• With a strong analytical mindset, you combine accuracy, organizational skills, autonomy, and a proactive approach.
