LAD Foundation in Salem, Missouri is seeking a Fire and Stewardship Manager to lead the Foundation's fire management program on Pioneer Forest and LAD properties, focusing on ecological restoration through prescribed fire. The role reports to the Chief Ecologist and collaborates with the Land Stewardship Director and partners to deliver program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife Management, or related field.
• Five years of professional experience in fire management and leadership.
• Must qualify as a Burn Boss (NWCG or state certified).
• Experience with data management and analysis in Excel or similar tools.
• Experience using ArcGIS for conservation planning is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all aspects of the Foundation’s Fire Program and coordinate with agency partners.
• Recruit, train, and supervise seasonal stewardship staff for prescribed fire activities.
• Develop, revise, and implement the Fire Management Manual and annual training.
• Communicate fire program policies within the organization and with external partners.
• Develop partnerships to expand the prescribed fire program and manage budgets.
