Ariad is seeking a strategic Portfolio Manager to oversee governance, prioritisation and delivery across a portfolio of transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, delivery leads and business units to align priorities with organisational goals and available capacity.

You will shape investment decisions, monitor portfolio health and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, transparency and value delivery across complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Portfolio Manager, PMO Lead or similar role.
• Experience in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate information into practical recommendations.

Our client is looking for a strategic, organised and collaborative professional to join their team as a Portfolio Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing portfolio governance, managing priorities, improving visibility across initiatives and supporting decision-making processes that drive successful business outcomes.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, transformation teams, delivery leads and leadership teams to ensure initiatives are aligned with organisational objectives and available capacity. Your work will have a direct impact on portfolio performance, resource optimisation and the successful execution of transformation programmes. What you will be doing:

• Develop and continuously improve portfolio management practices and governance frameworks.

• Support capacity planning activities to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
• Facilitate prioritisation discussions and contribute to informed investment decisions.
• Monitor portfolio health and provide actionable insights to support strategic objectives.
• Identify potential delivery risks, resource constraints and cross-functional dependencies.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align initiatives with business goals and organisational priorities.
• Produce clear portfolio reporting and performance updates for leadership teams.
• Recommend improvements that increase efficiency, transparency and accountability across the portfolio.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of portfolio management practices and ways of working.

What you bring:

• Ambition to further develop your career in portfolio management, transformation and strategic planning.
• Proven experience in a Portfolio Manager, PMO Lead, Portfolio Consultant or similar role.
• Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong understanding of portfolio governance, prioritisation, planning and resource management.
• Experience using portfolio management, reporting or planning tools.
• Ability to analyse information and translate it into practical recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Comfortable working in evolving environments where priorities may change over time.
• Ability to build relationships and influence decisions through collaboration and expertise.
• Strong communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset.
