Ghent University is inviting a researcher to dedicate at least 70% of their time to scientific work in quantitative PK-PD, developing models informed by in vitro/clinical data. The role includes teaching in Dutch and English and supervising Master’s theses within a dynamic, international department.

You will contribute to internal and external services of the Bioanalysis department, collaborating across disciplines and with students. A two-year appointment with potential renewal awaits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Drug Development, Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical Care, Bioscience Engineering, or Medicine.
• For diplomas awarded outside the EU, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted.
• Interest in scientific research and pharmacotherapy; drug research or clinical experience is an asset.
• Sufficient knowledge of Dutch and English to support academic teaching and communicate research findings.
• Experience with R and PK-PD software is a plus.
• Practical experience with analytical laboratory techniques is a plus.
• Social skills, flexibility, and the ability to function in a multidisciplinary and international academic environment.
• Didactic and communicative skills; teaching experience and participation in continuing education are assets.

Responsabilités

• Dedicate at least 70% of assignment to scientific research in preparation for a doctoral dissertation in PK-PD.
• Assist in teaching within the department, including Dutch-taught and English-taught courses.
• Supervise Master’s students in thesis projects.
• Assist in internal and external services of the department.
