Introduce Ghent is seeking a Pilot Manager to lead the Rousselot Pilot Plant, combining people leadership with strong process engineering to optimise production and drive continuous improvement.

You will oversee the Pilot Plant department, coordinate projects, coach the team, support Operations, and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HSE and R&D, reporting to the Global Pilot Plant Manager. Fluent English; Dutch a plus. Attractive salary and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master degree in (bio)chemical, bio- or food engineering.
• Several years of experience in process engineering in the process industry, preferably with scale-up activities & process optimization.
• Experience in leading projects and/or managing a technical team.
• Leadership with strong technical expertise.
• Experience working with Operations and stakeholders at different levels.
• Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Take overall responsibility for the Pilot Plant department, working closely with Operations to optimise production processes.
• Lead day-to-day Pilot Plant operations, coordinate Pilot Plant projects and report progress and results.
• Manage and coach the Pilot Plant team, supporting professional performance and personal development.
• Strive for technical excellence by supporting Operations and contributing to Pilot Plant trials.
• Contribute to technical and economic feasibility assessments for new technologies and processes.
• Work with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HSE and R&D on Pilot Plant projects.
• Collaborate with other sites, suppliers, external laboratories and partners.
• Report to the Global Pilot Plant Manager.
