HumanInTech is seeking a software engineer to drive a modernization project migrating data from mainframes to a modern open architecture. You will design, develop, and test applications using PHP, C, and JavaScript, ensuring high availability and robust documentation.

Role requires 3–5+ years of experience, strong server-side C, PHP expertise, and fluency in Dutch, French, and English. The assignment is hybrid in Brussels, with both freelance and employee options and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in PHP, JavaScript, C#, and C on server side.
• Experience in Linux RedHat environments and TCP/IP networking.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services and PHP-based integrations.
• Hands-on knowledge of AngularJS, Ajax, jQuery and CodeIgniter; Git and DevOps practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to document clearly.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and test applications from functional and technical analyses.
• Maintain and improve PHP and C applications in a high-availability environment.
• Analyze user needs with functional analysts to refine requirements.
• Keep up with evolving tech and provide technical guidance.
• Suggest improvements to existing solutions and projects.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide maintenance and technical support for applications.
