VITO, a leading European research center, invites a senior scientific leader to shape AMO’s roadmap at the intersection of AI, optimization and sustainable infrastructure. You will mentor researchers, engineers and PhD candidates while driving high-impact, publishable research and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
You will work with the Program Manager to identify strategic directions, foster new competences, and translate advances into real-world energy, water and environmental solutions with
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (CS, applied math, engineering, physics) or equivalent experience.
- Strong expertise in optimization, OR, AI/ML, forecasting, digital twins or data-driven control.
- Proven track record in leading, mentoring or coaching researchers or engineers.
Responsabilités
- Define and develop the scientific and technological roadmap for the AMO domain.
- Coach researchers, engineers and PhD candidates to grow professionally.
- Translate scientific advances into real-world energy, water and environmental solutions.
- Lead collaborations with universities, industry partners and public stakeholders.
