Akkodis Belgium is seeking a Strategic Procurement & Buying Specialist to optimise procurement processes for a key pharmaceutical client. You will manage supplier relationships across engineering, production, packaging, construction and capital service categories.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, proven buying experience, strong negotiation skills and proficiency with SAP. Fluency in English and Dutch is mandatory, and experience with AI-driven procurement is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven buying experience, preferably in pharma or life sciences.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret market data and support category strategy.
• Proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Comfortable using AI tools in procurement context; interest in AI-driven procurement is a plus.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory environment.

Responsabilités

• Source new suppliers and manage existing relationships to maximise value and reduce risk.
• Negotiate terms, conduct bid analyses and support category strategies with global managers.
• Review procurement schedules, process orders and resolve invoice queries.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities for project teams and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and drive cost savings.
• Develop internal customer procurement relationships to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and ethical procurement practices.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier intelligence.
