Impact Life is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Doula in New Castle County, Delaware, offering trauma-informed, non-clinical support to pregnant and postpartum individuals affected by SUD or trauma. The role blends peer support with doula care to empower clients through the perinatal period and to connect them with community resources.

The position requires CPRS certification or willingness to pursue it, with Impact Life supporting the certification process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPRS certification or willingness to pursue certification.
• Commitment to CPRS training, supervision, and certification timelines.
• Ability to uphold peer-support principles, dignity, and boundaries.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Provide emotional, informational, and non-clinical support to perinatal participants affected by SUD or trauma.
• Mentor using peer-support principles to promote recovery and connect to resources.
• Attend prenatal appointments, birthing experiences, and postpartum visits as appropriate.
• Maintain professional boundaries and document services per policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to coordinate care.
• Travel locally to participant appointments and service locations as required.
