HumanInTech in Brussels is seeking an experienced Oracle-focused application developer for a 12-month hybrid assignment. You will join a small team, developing and maintaining environmental projects using Oracle APEX and Oracle DB 19c.

The role requires strong SQL/PLSQL skills, knowledge of relational data modelling, and experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML and SOAP web services. Dutch, French and English language proficiency is required.

What you will do

You will work with a small team of colleagues on projects primarily related to environmental matters. You will develop and maintain applications using Oracle APEX, working independently within agreed deadlines.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing applications using Oracle APEX 26.2
• Working with Oracle Database 19c
• Writing and optimising SQL and PL/SQL code
• Designing and implementing relational data models
• Integrating REST APIs, JSON, XML and SOAP web services
• Working with Oracle REST Data Services
• Implementing front-end functionality using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and AJAX
• Using Git and Git-based workflows for version control
• Working with Oracle BI Publisher for reporting

What we are looking for

• Confirmed experience as an application developer
• Experience with Oracle APEX 26.2
• Experience with Oracle Database 19c or more recent versions
• Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of relational data modelling
• Knowledge of Oracle REST Data Services
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML and SOAP web services
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and AJAX
• Experience with Git and Git-based workflows

The setting

This assignment runs for 12 months, starting on 21 December 2026. The work mode is hybrid, with the office location in Brussels. You will work in a small-scale team environment where you can work independently while meeting project deadlines.
