Job summary

Delta Engineering is seeking an experienced Buyer to strengthen our international sourcing and ERP-driven purchasing processes. Based in Belgium, you will be part of a fast-growing, financially solid company with a strong position in our market.

You will handle end-to-end purchasing from quotes to delivery, translate MRP needs into concrete orders, negotiate terms with suppliers, monitor stock levels, resolve delivery issues, and collaborate closely with the Romania purchasing team to ensure

Our ambition to deliver high-quality machines within an agreed timeframe calls for smooth and efficient internal operations.

Your responsibilities

• You handle purchasing files from A to Z: you request quotes, compare prices and terms, negotiate with suppliers and follow up on the entire process through to delivery.
• You translate the needs from MRP and the various departments into concrete orders in the ERP system.
• You closely monitor your orders and make sure deliveries arrive on time and as agreed. In case of delays, you proactively contact the supplier and look for solutions.
• When delivery issues arise, you work closely with planning and production to quickly find suitable alternatives and ensure the continuity of our operations.
• You take responsibility for resolving discrepancies between orders and receipts, coordinating with the internal and external parties involved.
• You monitor stock levels and continuously seek the right balance between availability and inventory costs.
• You keep key master data, such as prices, lead times and delivery terms, accurate and up to date in the ERP system.
• You help build a strong and reliable network of international suppliers across various technical product categories.
• You work closely with the purchasing team at our site in Romania.

• You have a technical background and strong analytical skills.
• You have extensive experience as a buyer.
• You are a natural communicator and networker.
• In addition to a healthy commercial sense, you also have strong persuasive skills.
• You personally contribute to positive business results and a good working atmosphere.
• You have strong written and verbal skills in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and German is a plus.
