NTT DATA Europe & Latam is seeking an Online Writer to editorially manage European Commission web content, draft and edit in English, and oversee pages and translations. You’ll contribute to multilingual websites, apply SEO and UX best practices, and collaborate across large organisations.

The role involves coordinating with teams, managing publication workflows, and delivering accessible, high-quality content for European projects managed by the Commission.

Qualifications

• Ability to draft and edit high-quality web content.
• Native-level English (C2) written and spoken.
• Experience in political communication.
• 3+ years creating and updating Drupal-based websites (Drupal 8 a plus).
• Strong SEO and UX understanding for web content.

Join the Team as Online Writer - European Commission

As an Online Writer, these are the main tasks that you'll be responsible for:

• Editorial maintenance of various Commission websites (EC and EU core websites, campaign websites related to the Commission's priorities, and others as relevant)
• Draft quality content in English and edit existing content
• Review and analyse existing content sections
• Create and maintain webpages (creation of new pages, update of existing ones, uploading documents)
• Make editorial proposals on how to create new content within the existing information architecture of the Commission core website
• Manage translation requests and publish translated content
• Provide editorial input to corporate web communication projects

Technical Skills:

• Experience in drafting and editing quality content for the web
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (level C2)
• Proven experience in political communication
• At least 3 years of experience in creating and updating websites in Drupal or similar CMS (experience in Drupal 8 is an advantage)
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in SEO best practices
• Good understanding of UX principles
• Good understanding of web accessibility standards and hands-on experience in creating accessible content for the web
• Familiarity with project management principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in creating content for multilingual websites and in working in large organisations and as part of multidisciplinary teams would be considered as an asset.
• Native-level knowledge of English - Level C2 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Autonomous
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good problem-solving skills
