Job summary

Jobfixers Aalst Industry is seeking a skilled truck mechanic in Belgium to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles. You will diagnose faults, replace or repair engines, transmissions, clutches, and suspensions, and test vehicles after interventions.

You will also keep the workshop organized and record intervention data for follow-up by the appropriate departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, from minor fixes to major overhauls
• Diagnose faults and resolve technical problems - detective work on wheels
• Replace or repair engines, transmissions, clutches and suspensions
• Test and adjust vehicles after interventions
• Keep work area tidy and perform basic tool maintenance
• Record intervention data and forward to the appropriate departments
• Determine intervention type based on technical files

• Onderhoud en herstellingen uitvoeren aan vrachtwagens - van kleine reparaties tot grote revisies
• Storingen opsporen en technische problemen oplossen - detective werk op wielen!
• Motoren, versnellingsbakken, koppelingen en ophangingen vervangen of herstellen
• Voertuigen testen en afstellen na interventies
• Werkzone netjes houden en basisonderhoud aan gereedschappen uitvoeren
• Interventiegegevens registreren en doorspelen aan de juiste diensten
• Aard van interventies bepalen aan de hand van technische dossiers
