Job summary

Smulders is seeking a Work Preparator to support design and offshore projects in electrical and mechanical domains. You will prepare work packages, review documentation, and ensure accuracy for construction and installation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or equivalent
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical construction and installation documentation
• Able to interpret technical drawings, schematics and material lists
• Accurate, structured and quality-focused working style
• Strong planning, organization and document management skills
• Excellent communication skills across technical disciplines and project stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Familiarity with document management systems and planning tools is an advantage
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare Electrical & Mechanical work packages for construction and installation activities.
• Collect, review and manage technical documentation from Engineering and Design teams.
• Develop work instructions, procedures and execution documentation.
• Ensure the completeness, quality and accuracy of work packages.
• Monitor design changes and maintain proper revision control.
• Review technical drawings, schematics and material lists.
• Identify missing information, inconsistencies or technical issues and coordinate solutions with relevant stakeholders.
• Track document schedules and ensure information is available on time.
• Serve as the key operational link between Engineering, Design, Construction and Project Management.
• Report on progress, outstanding actions and project priorities.]
