Jobtailor in Belgium seeks a logistics forwarding professional to manage export documentation for a base of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will use GS-NET and Cargowise to prepare orders, liaise with shippers and consignees, and coordinate vessel space, rates, and compliance.

The role requires bilingual ENG/NL communication, detail orientation, and ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

Qualifications

• A first experience in forwarding or degree in logistics field.
• Professional terminology in ENG & NL for contact with customers, customs and colleagues.
• Familiar with concepts, practices and procedures in forwarding.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels.
• Knowledge of Cargowise is a plus.
• Ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents from several sources.
• Multitasking skills.
• Computer literate, basic MS Office.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
• Team player.
• Ability to prioritise.

Responsabilités

• Receive, review, and process export documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
• Process and follow Shipper’s Letter of Instructions accurately.
• Prepare and process delivery orders, BLs, insurance certificates, certificates of origin and other declarations via GS-NET and Cargowise.
• Meet all company and government deadlines for processing these documents.
• Prepare and/or send advance notification of shipments and documents to shippers, consignees, and destination offices.
• Arrange, book, and confirm cargo space on vessels.
• Calculate freight rates and insurance accurately and according to established procedures.
• Close files and distribute documents in compliance with export standards.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and supervisors clearly and timely.
• Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Advise supervisor/manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
