Vulcain Engineering Group | Belgium is seeking a Component Engineer to support long-term operation, reliability and performance of critical mechanical equipment in nuclear power facilities. You will act as technical owner for a portfolio of components and drive maintenance strategies and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain technical expertise for a portfolio of critical mechanical components and equipment.
• Define, review and continuously improve maintenance strategies based on operational feedback, ageing management and equipment performance monitoring.
• Manage the lifecycle of preventive maintenance programs and ensure regulatory requirements are properly integrated into maintenance plans and procedures.
• Support the optimization of maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Monitor component health through performance indicators, scorecards and reliability analyses.
• Identify, anticipate and resolve ageing-related degradation mechanisms affecting equipment performance.
• Contribute to obsolescence management by identifying risks, assessing technical solutions and supporting replacement strategies.
• Perform root cause analyses on equipment failures and define corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support major operational and maintenance programs related to plant availability and long-term operation.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to maintenance and operational teams.
• Prepare technical reports, event analyses and lessons-learned documentation.
