Aerospacelab seeks a Network System Administrator with 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures using Fortinet and Palo Alto products. Fluency in English and French is required.

You will configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, run security assessments, and collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure continuous operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Fortinet NSE and Palo Alto PCNSE certifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on network administration experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network SystemAdministrator with a strong background in Fortinet and Palo Alto products tojoin our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years ofprofessional experience in network administration, along with fluency in bothEnglish and French.

Responsabilities

• NetworkManagement:
  • Design,implement, and manage network infrastructure using Fortinet and Palo Altoproducts.
  • Configureand maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS), and other security appliances.
  • Monitornetwork performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Security:
  • Developand enforce network policies and procedures.
  • Performregular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Respondto and mitigate network security incidents.
• Support& Maintenance:
  • Providetechnical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Conductregular network maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
  • Maintaindetailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and upgrades.
• Collaboration:
  • Workclosely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration ofnetwork systems.
  • Collaboratewith external vendors and service providers to support and enhancenetwork infrastructure.
  • Trainand support end-users and junior staff on network-related technologiesand best practices.

Qualifications

• Education& Certification:
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevantcertifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE) are highlydesirable.
• Experience:
  • Minimumof 4 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
  • Provenexperience with Fortinet and Palo Alto network products.
  • Strongunderstanding of network protocols, firewall management, and networksecurity principles.

Skills

• TechnicalExpertise:
  • In-depthknowledge and hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls FortiManager,FortiAnalyzer, and other Fortinet security appliances.
  • Proficiencyin configuring and managing FortiGate firewall policies, VPNs(site-to-site and remote access), and security profiles.
  • Familiaritywith Fortinet SD-WAN and integration of Fortinet products in complexnetwork environments.
  • Strongunderstanding and practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls,Panorama management, and GlobalProtect VPN.
  • Abilityto create and manage security policies, configure NAT, and implementadvanced threat prevention features.
  • Knowledgeof App-ID, User-ID, and Content-ID technologies within Palo Altoproducts.
• NetworkSecurity:
  • Thoroughunderstanding of network security concepts, protocols, and bestpractices.
  • Experiencein implementing and managing intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS).
  • Proficientin performing security assessments, vulnerability testing, andpenetration testing.
• NetworkInfrastructure:
  • Solidknowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP, etc.)and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Experiencewith VLANs, subnetting, and network segmentation.
  • Familiaritywith wireless networking, load balancers, and proxy servers.
• Analyticaland Problem-Solving:
  • Stronganalytical skills to diagnose network issues, identify root causes, andimplement effective solutions.
  • Abilityto conduct thorough network performance analysis and optimize networkresources.
  • Proficiencyin using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds,PRTG, etc.).

  • Fluentin both English and French, with excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.
