We are actively seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join the Network Engineering team of a Belgian family-owned group, operating internationally and well-established in the agri-food sector.
Based in Heuvelland, you will play a central role in the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network solutions supporting enterprise applications and production systems.
You will contribute to the management and security of a global network infrastructure, in a cutting-edge, multi-vendor technological environment that is constantly evolving.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and optimise wired and Wi-Fi networks in compliance with architecture standards and security policies.
- Participate in network design for datacentres, production environments, security, and cloud access.
- Monitor network performance and detect incidents or anomalies.
- Analyse and resolve network incidents to ensure service performance, availability, and continuity.
- Track incidents through a centralised ticketing system.
- Collaborate closely with managed service providers (MSPs), vendors, and international IT teams for the deployment, testing, and maintenance of new network services.
- Conduct technology monitoring and recommend solutions aligned with the IT strategy and security objectives.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of network technologies: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, wireless, VoIP, MPLS.
- Experience with network security equipment and solutions: Juniper, Aruba/HPE, Palo Alto firewalls.
- Proficiency in network management tools: Juniper MIST AI, Aruba Central, ClearPass, Apstra, Panorama, Wireshark.
- Familiarity with complex international network environments and knowledge of hybrid cloud (SD-WAN, SASE, Azure, AWS).
- Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, server platforms (Microsoft/Linux), and modern security principles.
- Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset.
- Analytical, solution-oriented personality, comfortable working in the field.
- Availability for occasional travel to regional or international sites.
