Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a .NET Developer fluent in English to join our Belgium-based development team on site in Brussels. The role involves integrating with a major client’s IT team and delivering robust server- and client-side components.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in IT with at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET, REST APIs, and relational databases. French or Dutch language skills are a plus for collaborating with local teams.

Qualifications

• Master Degree in IT with 3 years of relevant IT experience.
• Knowledge of .NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET.
• Experience with REST APIs and API development.
• Familiarity with issue-tracking and ticketing tools.
• Experience with database management systems and relational databases.
• Knowledge of UML or CASE tools.
• Experience with AGILE, Scrum or DevOps is an asset.
• Excellent command of the English language.

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

Role overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a .NET Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• Master Degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 3 years;
• IT development: server and client-based libraries and technologies relating to .NET, .NET Framework, ASP.NET;
• Knowledge of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility;
• Knowledge of REST and working with APIs, developing APIs, etc.;
• Knowledge of issue-tracking and ticketing tools;
• Knowledge of application integration;
• Knowledge in database management system;
• Experience with UML or case tools;
• Experience with relational databases;
• Experience with AGILE, Scrum or DevOps is an asset;
