Randstad in Beerse, Belgium, seeks a Scientist MRI – Advanced Material Characterization to design, establish and execute advanced pre-clinical MRI methods for APIs, complex dosage forms, and drug-delivery systems in a state-of-the-art laboratory.

You will translate imaging data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams, develop SOPs, and support solid-state NMR work, while ensuring GMP/compliance and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or a related scientific field with strong analytical instrument affinity.
• Post‑doc experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with pre‑clinical MRI instrumentation.

Responsabilités

• Develop and validate pre-clinical MRI methods and workflows complementary to CT scan analysis for complex pharmaceutical formulations and materials.
• Analyze water ingress and hydration kinetics in tablets/capsules/gels, evaluate coating and capsule performance, assess device functionality in drug-delivery systems.
• Process imaging data (AI/ML) and present actionable insights in cross-functional meetings.
• Build SOPs and fit-for-purpose data interpretation practices; support basic solid-state NMR experiments.
• Prepare samples, operate independently after onboarding, and maintain GMP/compliance.
