RMM Consulting Group is seeking an expert Mobile Test Automation Consultant to implement end-to-end automated tests for Flutter-based SDK integrations in native iOS and Android apps.

You will design, maintain and execute tests across real and virtual devices, translate business scenarios into robust automation, and collaborate with DevOps to integrate results into the delivery process.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software testing with mobile automation.
• Hands-on Appium on iOS and Android.
• Experience testing Flutter modules/SDK-provided screens.
• CI/CD integration experience.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.

Mission context

We are looking for an expert test automation consultant to implement and execute end-to-end automated tests for mobile customer journeys that pass through screens delivered by a Flutter-based SDK and embedded in native iOS and Android applications.
The role involves test automation execution: creating reliable, maintainable coverage of complete user journeys from the host applications, including transitions between native and SDK-provided screens. SDK development and integration are outside the assignment.

In this assignment, the consultant is expected to act as a hands-on Mobile Test Automation Engineer.

• Design, implement and maintain automated end-to-end scenarios for complete iOS and Android user journeys, including transitions between native and SDK-provided screens.
• Translate agreed business scenarios and acceptance criteria into robust, reusable automated tests.
• Prepare and manage the test data and prerequisites required for repeatable execution.
• Execute test suites on supported real and virtual devices; analyse failures and document defects with reproducible evidence.
• Distinguish application defects from test-script, environment and test-data issues.
• Integrate execution and reporting into the delivery process, working with development and DevOps colleagues.
• Improve suite reliability, execution time, maintainability and diagnostic quality.
• Document the approach, coverage, operating instructions and known limitations; share knowledge with testers and developers.

Education

Bachelor or master degree in IT, engineering, computer science or equivalent professional experience.

Certification

ISTQB certification is an advantage.

Relevant mobile test automation certification is a plus.

Telework

Expectation: 50% on site and 50% homeworking, according to the applicable team arrangements.

Required experience / knowledge

At least 6 years of software testing experience, with strong hands-on mobile automation experience on both iOS and Android. The consultant must work autonomously on an existing application and turn business-critical journeys into maintainable end-to-end tests.

Technical experience

• Strong hands-on Appium experience on Android and iOS, including end-to-end journeys across native and embedded or hybrid interfaces.
• Good command of Java and Selenium-based automation, with BDD practices using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Experience designing maintainable automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Experience with real devices, emulators and simulators, including device setup, element inspection and execution troubleshooting.
• Experience with Perfecto or an equivalent enterprise mobile device testing platform.
• Experience integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines and analysing results.
• Good knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins or equivalent tooling, and TestNG or a comparable test runner.
• Ability to interpret logs, screenshots and execution evidence for defect analysis.
• Sound knowledge of testing standards and test design principles.

Technical experience

• Experience testing Flutter modules or SDK-provided screens embedded in native applications, including Flutter testability and element-interaction challenges.
• Experience with native mobile test technologies such as UI Automator or Espresso on Android and XCUITest on iOS.
• Experience with API validation, mocking or stubbing to improve repeatability and diagnosis.
• Experience with automated reporting and management of unstable mobile tests.
• Knowledge of accessibility, visual validation or performance checks in a mobile testing context.
