Architect and transform critical Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant data exchange for vital public services. Lead the design and evolution of the GoAnywhere platform, establishing robust governance and seamless integration across complex IT landscapes.

CONTEXT

In the intricate web of modern public administration, the secure and efficient exchange of data is not merely an operational task; it is the lifeblood that connects critical services, ensures regulatory compliance, and protects sensitive citizen information. Our client, a key IT operator for a major public administration, faces the complex challenge of managing vast volumes of data flows across diverse internal and external systems. These exchanges are often subject to stringent security protocols, regulatory requirements, and high availability demands. This is where you, as an MFT Solution Architect specializing in GoAnywhere, will step in. You will be entrusted with shaping the very architecture that underpins this secure data movement, modernizing legacy processes, and integrating new capabilities to build a resilient, auditable, and highly performant Managed File Transfer ecosystem. Your work will directly safeguard data integrity and enable critical public services to operate seamlessly.

ACTIVITIES

As an MFT Solution Architect, your primary responsibility will be to design, evolve, and optimize our client's Managed File Transfer (MFT) architecture, with a specialized focus on the GoAnywhere platform. This involves taking a leading role in defining the future state of data exchange, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives for security, scalability, and performance. You will be instrumental in establishing robust security policies and comprehensive governance frameworks for all data flows, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations. A core part of your mission will be to design and integrate complex exchange flows, orchestrating data movement between disparate systems, often involving a variety of protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, etc.) and legacy interfaces. You will also be responsible for developing and executing migration strategies for historical data flows, ensuring a smooth transition to the modernized MFT platform. This role requires close collaboration with security teams, infrastructure engineers, application owners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide expert guidance, and ensure successful deployment of MFT solutions.

Success in this mission will be marked by the establishment of a highly resilient, secure, and efficient MFT architecture built around GoAnywhere. You will have successfully defined and implemented a robust set of security and governance policies that provide an auditable and compliant framework for all data exchanges. You will have successfully migrated historical data flows to the new architecture, eliminating legacy dependencies and reducing operational risks. Ultimately, your work will empower our client with a state-of-the-art MFT capability, reinforcing their position as a reliable and secure steward of public data and enabling faster, more secure information exchange for vital services.

ENVIRONMENT

Your technical environment will be centered around the GoAnywhere MFT platform, which serves as the backbone for secure file transfers. You will be deeply involved in solution and infrastructure architecture design, often integrating with various cloud platforms for hybrid deployments. A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, particularly related to data in transit and at rest, is paramount. You will work with a diverse set of transfer protocols including SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, and potentially emerging API-based integration patterns. Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, network configurations, and firewall rules will be crucial. The mission is for 10 months and requires a hybrid presence in Brussels, with fluency in French being essential for effective communication with local teams and stakeholders.
