Jobtailor is looking for a software engineer to join a collaborative team working on the TomTom core maps delivery platform and the new Orbis OGP product.

You will write elegant code, build, test, document, and deploy software following DevOps principles while mentoring others and helping advance our engineering culture across the team. You’ll work with architects, product managers and other engineers to deliver scalable map data solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Scala with related tooling and frameworks.
• Excellent English communication with teammates, architects, and product owners.
• Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure), CD (Docker/Terraform/Kubernetes), monitoring (Kibana/Grafana) and PostgreSQL.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving tech trends, with a focus on robust design.
• Knowledge of OO design, testing practices, and scalable web services.

• Improve and extend the TomTom core maps delivery platform and Orbis OGP.
• Produce elegant, simple, and reliable code within a dynamic, diverse team.
• Build, test, document, deploy, and maintain software per DevOps principles.
• Share knowledge with engineers and tackle diverse challenges.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to advancing engineering culture.
• Promote improvements in development practices and standards.
