Orange Business Services in Brussels is seeking a Senior AI Engineer - Consultant to lead AI initiatives, develop GenAI solutions, and drive client outcomes across digital transformation projects.

You will work in a hybrid setup with French and/or Dutch and English language requirements, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud platforms to deliver scalable AI models and dashboards. A collaborative, client-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of AI experience with at least one Generative AI project.
• Proven track record of leading complex AI projects.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data science tasks.
• Experience deploying and monitoring AI models at scale.
• Strong ability to understand and translate business needs into algorithms.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, deployment and monitoring of advanced analytical models for clients.
• Tackle NLP, GenAI, optimization and predictive analytics projects.
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Orange Business dives into restoration of the coral reefs with Tēnaka: In order to monitor the effects of coral restoration programs, we are designing, implementing and monitoring a fish diversity counting system using Computer Vision.
• Our customer Sappi, global pulp and paper company, requested our help to significantly reduce energy costs on a daily basis using analytics. Our team (10 consultants) is ingesting & transforming data, creating, deploying and optimizing multiple ML models and exposing it in dashboards to drive down energy consumption.
• Together with Carrefour we created a Unified Customer Feedback Insights Platform that used Generative AI to assign a topic and a sentiment to all incoming customer feedback, allowing us to have a unified and actionable view per topic.
• Agentic AI: automatizing part of the customer service for major retailer through multi-agentic system integrating ERP, CRM data and unstructured technical product documentation.
• Our Redbull Customer, requested us to provide an agentic AI on one of their website to support a end-user creative/brainstorming request.
• Our internal AI team is focusing on reviewing / re-inventing our way to providing IT Consultancy services leveraging power of AI agents and Coding models.

As a AI Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of exciting projects that leverage advanced analytics and machine learning. Your work will help our clients optimize their business processes by using, deploying and monitoring latest AI technologies.

• Lead the Way: Design, deploy and monitor advanced analytical models tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. From quick, high-impact proof-of-concepts to large-scale implementations, deliver solutions that create measurable value.
• Get Creative: Dive into projects involving natural language processing, generative AI, optimization, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Use cutting-edge machine learning techniques to create impactful solutions.
• Mentor and Collaborate: Share your expertise with junior data scientists and foster a collaborative environment. Work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions seamlessly into client operations.
• Engage with Clients: Present findings and strategic recommendations, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving needs and spot new opportunities.

Your technical expertise

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, a related technical field.
• 5 to 8 years of AI experience, with at least one Generative AI project and a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Programming: Expert in Python, with strong SQL skills.
• MLOPs: Deployment & Monitoring of AI models at scale using docker, ML pipelines…
• Techniques and algorithms: Generative AI, regression, classification, NLP, clustering/ segmentation, …
• Cloud Data Platforms: Azure or GCP for AI projects is highly valued.
• Generative AI: tools leveraging Gen AI or developing projects using Gen AI.
• Business understanding & problem solving: Strong ability to grasp business requirements and develop or refine algorithms to meet those needs effectively.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• DevOps methodologies: knowing what CI/CD and terraform is and being able to use it.
• Good coding practices: best practices in coding and code refactoring.
