Sopra Steria is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain and evolve secure, scalable network infrastructures across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams, addressing operational needs and contributing to digital transformation.

The role emphasizes collaboration on cloud networking, automation, and hybrid architectures, with a focus on reliable, future-ready IT platforms for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in Networking, Infrastructure or Network & Security environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network technologies and vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point or similar solutions.
• Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Understanding of network security concepts, firewalls and segmentation principles.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or Azure related certifications are valued.

Job Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to help design, implement, maintain and evolve modern network infrastructures for our customers.

You will play a key role in supporting both operational activities and infrastructure projects, ensuring secure, reliable and scalable environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.

In this role, you will work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams to support network operations, troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to infrastructure improvements and participate in digital transformation initiatives. Depending on your experience and interests, you will also have the opportunity to work with cloud networking technologies, automation solutions and hybrid infrastructures.

You’ll have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent.
• 3years of experience in Networking, Infrastructure or Network & Security environments.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
• Experience with network technologies and vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point or similar solutions.
• Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Understanding of network security concepts, firewalls and segmentation principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Fluent in English and either French or Dutch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
• Exposure to hybrid network architectures and cloud networking services.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python or similar).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and modern security concepts.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, Fortinet NSE or equivalent.
• Clear written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
