In4Matic is seeking an Analytics Engineer to shape its data governance and analytics capabilities. You will turn complex data into reliable, reusable models that support better decision-making, reporting, and operational efficiency across the organisation.

You will build dbt models on a cloud data platform, optimise datasets for Power BI, and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate questions into concrete data transformations. Strong SQL, dbt, and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and scalable data transformations.
• Experience building and maintaining data models in dbt.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and reporting environments.
• Experience with Power BI, including semantic modelling and measures.
• Ability to work with existing codebases, improve structure, and add automated tests.
• Familiarity with AWS Athena, Python, Scrum, DevOps, or AWS is a plus.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures.
• Experience with tools such as Cognos or Datastage is a plus.

• Experience with tools such as Cognos or Datastage is considered an advantage.

Profile

• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, including at least 1 year with dbt.
• Proven experience in data warehouse modelling and project-based work.
• Strong analytical thinking and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, while aligning with the team on high-impact technical choices.
• Customer-oriented and focused on delivering results.
• Skilled at translating business questions into practical data models and asking the right follow-up questions to clarify needs.
• Experience as a Business Analyst is a plus.
• Interest in or exposure to AI is an advantage.

Practical Information

Language requirements: fluent Dutch, strong English.
