LACO is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design and deploy scalable AI solutions in Azure, building ML and GenAI applications including RAG and LLM-powered tools. You’ll work with Python, Java and React to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled software, collaborating with engineers and data scientists to create real business impact.

Ideal candidates have ~2+ years of AI experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on with LLMs like GPT-4. Hybrid work flexibility and ongoing learning are offered.

Qualifications

• ~2+ years experience as AI/ML Engineer, Software Engineer, or Full-Stack Developer with exposure to AI projects.
• Strong development skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
• Experience with Java and/or React and a strong interest in building end-user applications powered by AI.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 or similar.
• Experience designing and implementing RAG solutions, semantic search, vector databases, and GenAI applications.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and deploying scalable AI solutions in Azure (ML Studio)
• Building ML & GenAI applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, AI copilots, and LLM-powered applications
• Developing modern software applications using Python, Java and React, combining traditional application development with AI capabilities
• Working with state-of-the-art Large Language Models such as GPT-4, Claude Sonnet, and Claude Haiku to create intelligent business solutions
• Developing and optimizing RAG architectures, semantic search, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems
• Creating end-to-end ML pipelines (data ingestion → training → deployment)
• Building AI applications and integrations using Python and modern AI frameworks
• Collaborating with engineers & data scientists to deliver real business impact
• Applying Responsible AI principles in production environments

Who you are

• ~2+ years experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Software Engineer, or Full-Stack Developer with exposure to AI projects
• Strong development skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Experience with Java and/or React and a strong interest in building end-user applications powered by AI
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4, Claude Sonnet, Claude Haiku, or similar foundation models
• Experience designing and implementing RAG solutions, semantic search, vector databases, and GenAI applications
• Familiar with Azure ML, Data Lake, DevOps, AKS, or AI Foundry
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience evaluating, fine-tuning, or integrating LLMs into production environments is a plus
