You will ensure reliable machine operation, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in technical fault resolution. Mechanical Technician (Shift Work)

Your role as a mechanical technician

As a mechanical technician, you are responsible for the mechanical maintenance of production equipment and utilities. You ensure machines operate reliably and safely, and actively participate in preventing and resolving technical failures. You work closely with operators, fellow technicians, and engineering.

What you will do

• Analyze, solve, and follow up technical faults to sustainable solutions
• Assist operators with smaller technical interventions
• Perform preventive maintenance on installations and utilities
• Connect, install, and commission new production equipment
• Maintain technical documentation, schematics, and maintenance reports accurately
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency
• Approach troubleshooting as a daily engaging challenge

Qualifications you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge and interest in mechanics, pumps, transmissions, machining, welding, etc.
• Experience in industrial maintenance within production or chemical industry is a plus
• Passion for tinkering, technology, machine maintenance, and sustainable troubleshooting
• Analytical, structured, and precise in work
• Team player who can also take independent responsibility
• Driven personality with attention to detail
• Strong focus on safety and respect for procedures and quality standards
• Excellent Dutch language skills; English required
