Traxial (A Magnax Company) seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design of precision gearboxes from concept to prototype and production.

You will create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, perform mechanical calculations, and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize tolerances, materials and specs for gearbox and actuator assemblies.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design of gearboxes or complex transmissions.
• Ability to perform design calculations and verification.
• Familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing tolerances.

• Design mechanical components: gears, shafts, bearings, housings, seals, and other transmission elements.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, applying industry standards and GD&T.
