Job summary

ECS in Zeebrugge, Belgium, is seeking a motivated mechanic to maintain and repair our vehicle fleet.

You will join a close-knit team after training, working on trucks, refrigerated trailers, curtain-sided trailers and container chassis, with flexible on-call hours (flexi-job).

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge relevant to fleet maintenance.
• Some experience with truck and/or trailer maintenance is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems applied to vehicles.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and cleanliness in work areas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on, helpful and flexible mindset.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers.
• Work as part of a close-knit team with on-call flexibility.
• Complete tasks after internal training and ensure optimal fleet performance.

Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where technology and teamwork are key? For our site in Zeebrugge, we are looking for a motivated mechanic who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and helping to ensure the optimal performance of our vehicle fleet.

Your Role & Responsibilities

After thorough internal training, you will become part of a close-knit team of technicians. Together, you are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of our diverse fleet, consisting of:

• 50 trucks (MAN)
• 190 refrigerated trailers
• 800 curtain-sided trailers
• 1250 container chassis

Working hours

• Week 1: 05:45 AM – 14:03 PM
• Week 2: 12:15 PM – 20:33 PM

This is a temporary, on-call position (Flexi-job).

Karveelstraat 5, 8380 Zeebrugge

You possess the following competencies:

• Basic technical knowledge
• Some experience with truck and/or trailer maintenance
• Basic knowledge of electricity
• Accuracy and attention to order and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Helpful, flexible, and hands-on mindset
• Good command of Dutch and/or English
