Pauwels Consulting seeks a Materials Science Lab Analyst to support development and manufacturing projects for a leading pharmaceutical client. The role involves specialized analytical activities, sample characterization, and method development across chemical and biological entities.

You will perform sample prep, analyses using optical/electron microscopy and spectroscopy (IR, Raman), and develop methods with laser diffraction. Documentation in ELN and instrument calibration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in (bio)chemistry, analytical chemistry, or materials science.
• 3+ years in a laboratory environment with analytical focus.
• Experience with optical microscopy and electron microscopy.
• Expertise in spectroscopy, specifically IR and Raman.
• Collaborative, meticulous, with rigorous adherence to procedures.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Perform analytical activities to support pharmaceutical development and manufacturing projects, including investigations and method development.
• Prepare samples for isolation and characterization of foreign particulate matter.
• Conduct analyses using optical microscopy, electron microscopy, and elemental analysis.
• Develop analytical methods using IR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and laser diffraction.
• Interpret data within a materials science framework and document activities in an ELN.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and contribute to a material reference database.
