BRG is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to join its Brussels Economics Practice. The role focuses on competition economics, including litigation and merger control, with ownership of large projects and collaboration with Managing Directors.

You will work on German matters, draft analyses in English and German, and contribute to a dynamic, entrepreneurial team while pursuing ongoing professional development and relocation if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in litigation and mergers within competition consulting.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling German matters; proficient in English and German.
• Advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or PhD) in Economics or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and statistics software (R, Stata or Python).

Consulting Staff Position In Competition Economics In Brussels

We are currently looking for a Senior Managing Consultant to join our Economics Practice in Brussels. We require a highly motivated problem solvers with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within BRG.

This role will suit someone with an interest in and experience in litigation and mergers. You will be taking ownership of large projects and expected to take decisions and have ownership of crucial pieces of work. You will have the support of the Managing Directors, but ultimately you will have a small team supporting you and have the opportunity to work autonomously.

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:

• Experience of litigation and mergers gained in a Competition Consulting environment.
• Ability and experience to work independently and tenacity to see projects through with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in and on German matters.
• You can draft and communicate effectively in English and German. A good knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, etc.) is an asset.
• You hold an advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or PhD) in Economics or related fields from a leading university.
• You are proficient in Excel and statistical software/programming languages (e.g., R, Stata or Python) and desire to expand those skills further and train others.
• You are committed to producing high-quality analyses and paying close attention to detail.
• You have a positive can-do attitude and you are willing to proactively engage with your colleagues.
