BRG in Brussels seeks a Senior Managing Consultant in Competition Economics to lead large projects and make independent decisions with support from Managing Directors. The role welcomes candidates with litigation and merger experience and German language skills.

Qualifications

• Experience of litigation and mergers in a Competition Consulting environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working on German matters.
• Draft and communicate effectively in English and German.
• Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish is a plus.
• Advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or PhD) in Economics or related field.
• Proficient in Excel and statistical software (R, Stata, Python).
• Committed to high-quality analyses with attention to detail.
• Positive, proactive attitude and teamwork.

Senior Managing Consultant – Competition Economics, Brussels

We are currently looking for a Senior Managing Consultant to join our Economics Practice in Brussels. We require a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within BRG. This role will suit someone with an interest in and experience in litigation and mergers. You will be taking ownership of large projects and expected to take decisions and have ownership of crucial pieces of work. You will have the support of the Managing Directors, but ultimately you will have a small team supporting you and have the opportunity to work autonomously. We are dedicated to supporting your professional development and qualifications relevant to your role. Key Experience & Skills

• Experience of litigation and mergers gained in a Competition Consulting environment.
• Ability and experience to work independently and tenacity to see projects through with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in and on German matters.
• You can draft and communicate effectively in English and German.
• A good knowledge of other languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, etc.) is an asset.
• You hold an advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or PhD) in Economics or related fields from a leading university.
• You are proficient in Excel and statistical software/programming languages (e.g., R, Stata or Python) and desire to expand those skills further and train others.
• You are committed to producing high-quality analyses and paying close attention to detail.
• You have a positive can-do attitude and you are willing to proactively engage with your colleagues.
• We would consider candidates outside of Brussels that want to relocate for a long or short period of time.
