ITProposal is seeking an experienced Mainframe Designer in Brussels to design high‑level and detailed solutions for complex mainframe applications in the Capital Markets domain. You will work with global stakeholders and guide development teams through design clarifications and technical guidance.

The role requires 8–10 years of mainframe design experience, strong knowledge of PL/I, JCL, DB2, SQL and CICS, and excellent collaboration in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience as a Mainframe Designer in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
• Proven ability to create High Level Designs (HLDs) and Low Level Designs (LLDs) and translate requirements into robust designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with global stakeholders in Agile teams.

Responsabilités

• Design High-Level and Detailed Application Designs based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with Application Owners, Business Analysts, Testers, and Operations Teams.
• Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs for mainframe applications.

Role: Mainframe Designer (8–10 Years Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Designer with strong expertise across PL/I, JCL, DB2, SQL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will excel in designing high‑level and detailed application solutions, collaborating with global stakeholders, and contributing to critical initiatives within Capital Markets or Investment Banking domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design High‑Level and Detailed Application Designs based on business requirements.
• Work closely with Application Owners, Business Analysts, Testers, Operations Teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Translate functional requirements into robust technical designs for mainframe applications.
• Support development teams with design clarifications and technical guidance.
• Ensure alignment with Agile delivery practices and global collaboration standards.
• Apply domain knowledge in Capital Markets / Investment Banking to solution design.
• Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
