Job summary

Ampacimon is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to build and maintain AI/ML solutions behind our grid optimization products. You will own models in production, ensure reliability at scale, and automate training pipelines. You will also help integrate models into customer-facing applications and internal systems.

The role requires MSc in CS/DS, strong ML techniques, Python/SQL proficiency, and excellent English/French communication in an international, remote-friendly team.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science or Data Science (equivalent or higher).
• Hands-on experience building and applying advanced ML algorithms and statistical methods.
• Experience querying databases, web services, and using statistical/computing languages.
• Experience automating ML model variations using scripts or CI pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience deploying ML models in production.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and French.

About the role

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll build and maintain the AI/ML solutions behind our products. Reporting to the Lead of Software, you'll take full responsibility for these models in production; keeping them dependable, improving them over time, and automating their training.

As part of the software development team, you'll also help integrate models and tools into customer-facing applications and internal systems.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize domain-specific AI/ML algorithms. Leveraging our sensor data alongside additional sources such as remote sensors, weather providers, and customers' own data. You will also drive their integration into our software platforms
• Take full ownership of ML models in production: keep them reliable at scale, improve their accuracy, and automate the pipelines that train and serve them
• Support our software development frameworks with sample algorithms and libraries
• Provide technical support to customers and internal departments

What we're looking for

• An MSc in Computer Science or Data Science (equivalent or higher)
• Hands-on experience creating and applying advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical methods: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, and neural networks
• Experience querying databases, working with web services, and using statistical/computing languages
• Experience in automating model of ML model variations using automated scripts or CI pipelines
• Experience in Python and SQL
• Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and French
• Comfort working in an international environment with remote teams
• A genuine appetite for learning new technologies and taking on varied tasks
