Michael Page zoekt voor een multinational fabrikant van chemicaliën een Logistics Operations Specialist. Je organiseert en bewaakt alle inbound-operaties voor de toegewezen productlijn en beheert logistieke processen van aankooporder tot opslag.

Je vraagt transportaanbiedingen aan bij logistieke partners, werkt samen met diverse stakeholders en ondersteunt demand- en voorraadplanning met KPI's zoals voorraadhoogte en days on hand.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 2 jaar ervaring in logistiek.

Responsabilités

• Organiseren en bewaken van inbound operaties voor de toegewezen productlijn.
• Beheren van logistieke processen vanaf aankooporder tot opslag (vaten, isotanken, FCL's, bulk en verpakte goederen).
• Aanvragen van transportaanbiedingen bij logistieke partners en optimaliseren van kosten.
• Afhandelen van logistieke claims en issues in samenwerking met stakeholders.
• Coördineren van vraag- en voorraadplanning (enkele dagen voorraad, target stock levels).
• Implementeren en uitvoeren van inkoopbeleid om optimale voorraadsniveaus te waarborgen.
• Deelname aan maandelijkse Inventory Performance-rapportage en afstemming met het team.

Logistics Operations Specialist

• Organizing and monitoring all inbound operations for assigned product line
• Managing and monitoring all logistical operations from purchase order until storage (vessels, isotanks, FCL's, bulk and packed products)
• Requesting transport offers from logistical partners and updating the offer data base, assuring optimum solutions and cost saving opportunities.
• Handing logistical claims and issues related to logistical processes working in close collaboration with the different stakeholders.
• Marketing departments and coordinating demand and stock replenishment planning (demand, inventory, days on hand, target stock levels; product disposals and write offs)
• Implementation and execution of order purchasing policies set up to control and ensure optimum levels of inventory.
• Participating and assisting during monthly Inventory Performance reporting and alignment on forecast and order planning with the team manager

Profiel

The Logistics Operations Specialist in question has:

• At least 2 years of experience in logistics
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving attitude
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the tasks
• A structured way of working, keeping track of multiple orders in different stages, keeping all stakeholders in the loop, anticipating on issues that might arise.
• Enthusiasm to learn about specificities to consider when transporting chemical goods.
• Someone who meticulously maintains records to comply with internal and external procedures and policies.
• A can-do attitude is an important asset to take up additional responsibilities and to develop your skills. 'No day in the office is the same'
