Imec, a world-leading research center in nanotechnology, seeks an Litho R&D Engineer to join the LithoDev ALPCOMPUTE Process Development team in Leuven. You will develop lithography processes for CORE programs, Joint Development Projects and internal advanced patterning initiatives, coordinating with process integration and mask design colleagues to meet manufacturability goals.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience in semiconductor processing and cleanroom work.
• Experience with advanced lithography (193nm immersion/EUV) is advantageous.
• Well organized and eager to learn.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and discuss lithography process development requests.
• Design and execute experimental plans in the cleanroom and analyze results.
• Deliver high-quality lithography processes for leading-edge platforms.
• Collaborate with mask design team to generate lithography design rules and OPC data.
• Document and transfer lithography processes to pilot production or high-volume sites.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with integration, etch, CMP teams to enable overlay integration.
• Monitor overlay performance, analyze data, identify trends, and report findings to management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to overlay measurement tools.

Description du poste

As Litho R&D Engineer you will be a member of the LithoDev ALPCOMPUTE Process Development team, part of the Advanced Patterning department, responsible for developing the lithography processes requested by the process integration departments running imec’s CORE programs, Joint Development Projects, internal advanced patterning projects and technology transfer projects.

What you will do

• You will be responsible for analyzing and discussing lithography process development requests
• You design and execute the experimental plan in the cleanroom and analyze and interpret the experimental results
• You are expected to deliver high quality lithography processes for leading edge logic and interconnet technology platforms that meet module research and manufacturability requirements
• You will work together with the mask design team to generate lithography design rules and collect OPC data for new test mask design and tape out
• You document and transfer the lithography processes to the imec pilot production line or a high-volume manufacturing site
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with other engineering teams, such as integration, etch, CMP to ensure the successful integration of overlay control into the overall semiconductor manufacturing process.
• Monitoring overlay performance on a regular basis and analyzing data to identify trends and potential issues. Analyzing process data to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance overlay performance. Generating regular reports on overlay performance and presenting findings to management and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to overlay measurement tools.
