Halian is seeking a Lead Solution Architect in Antwerp, Belgium to define the datacenter technology stack, target architecture, and operating model. The role will lead vendor-neutral assessments across datacenter, cloud, infrastructure, resilience, lifecycle, and operations.

You will work with senior stakeholders, translate complex requirements into architecture principles, and provide technical inputs for sizing, licensing, lifecycle, and BOM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or enterprise architecture.
• End-to-end knowledge of compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and monitoring platforms.
• Strong Azure expertise across on-premises, hybrid, and public cloud.
• Ability to translate requirements into architecture principles and options.
• Experience leading datacenter or cloud transformation assessments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level documentation in English.

A large international organization with complex, business-critical technology operations across multiple regions is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to define its future datacenter technology stack, target architecture, and operating model. The successful candidate will lead a vendor-neutral assessment covering datacenter, cloud, infrastructure, resilience, lifecycle, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the current datacenter environment, infrastructure landscape, technology dependencies, and existing hardware lifecycle constraints.
• Consolidate business, technical, operational, security, and resilience requirements into clear, vendor-neutral architecture principles.
• Define target architecture options across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, backup, disaster recovery, automation, monitoring, and platform management.
• Evaluate technology solutions and vendors objectively, developing comparison matrices that consider feasibility, complexity, risk, compatibility, vendor lock-in, and strategic fit.
• Define a high-level migration roadmap, including dependencies, sequencing, operational impacts, key risks, and effort assumptions.
• Present evidence-based architecture recommendations to senior stakeholders and provide technical inputs for sizing, licensing, lifecycle, support, BOM, and TCO evaluations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive experience in infrastructure, datacenter, cloud, or enterprise architecture, ideally with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong end-to-end knowledge of compute, storage, networking, virtualization, VDI, backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management platforms.
• Solid architecture experience across on-premise, hybrid-cloud, and public-cloud environments, with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into architecture principles, technology options, target architectures, decision criteria, and defensible recommendations.
• Experience leading complex datacenter or cloud transformation assessments and defining high-level migration strategies, dependencies, risks, and lifecycle considerations.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and written communication skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership, facilitate technical workshops, and produce executive-level architecture documentation in English.
