Us3 Consulting is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of critical financial services solutions, guiding delivery from inception through deployment.

You will work with Enterprise Architects and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient systems, leveraging Java, Linux, Azure, APIs and event-driven patterns such as Apache Kafka.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT industry experience in solution architecture.
• Proven track record as Lead Solution Architect on large-scale transformation projects (€10M+).
• Strong background in Financial Services / Capital Markets environments.
• Experience with Java/Linus or Azure Cloud architecture and services.
• Experience with APIs, integration technologies and enterprise data technologies.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architect to support the delivery of large-scale, transversal IT transformation initiatives within a complex financial services environment.

You will own the end-to-end architecture of critical solutions, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, security, resilience and enterprise architecture requirements. Working closely with Enterprise Architects, Requirement Owners, IT Engineers and Application Owners, you will lead the design and delivery of pragmatic, scalable and secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver end-to-end Solution Architectures for large-scale IT transformation programmes.
• Lead architecture from inception through design, implementation and deployment.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure and resilient architecture solutions.
• Act as the key link between Enterprise Architecture, Domain Architecture, engineering teams and application owners.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards, target architectures and strategic roadmaps.
• Lead technical discussions across multiple systems, applications, locations and technology domains.
• Contribute to Reference Architectures, architecture patterns and reusable technology building blocks.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams during implementation.
• Assess complex architectural challenges and provide pragmatic, fit-for-purpose recommendations.
• Contribute to the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in IT delivery and engineering processes.
• Support the definition of domain target architectures and technology roadmaps.
• 15+ years of IT industry experience, with significant experience in Solution Architecture.
• Proven experience as a Lead Solution Architect on large-scale transformation programmes, ideally €10M+.
• Strong experience designing and deploying mission-critical transactional systems within large and complex organisations.
• Strong understanding of Financial Services / Capital Markets environments; knowledge of regulatory requirements is advantageous.
• Strong development/architecture experience with either:
• Java / Linux, or
• Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture and services.
• Experience with APIs, integration technologies and enterprise data technologies.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, ideally with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with private cloud technologies is desirable.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns and modern application architectures.
• Ability to work across multiple architectural domains and solve complex technical problems.
• Experience producing both high-level architecture strategies and detailed technical implementation designs.
