Itproposal is seeking a Lead SAP Integration Suite Consultant to take technical ownership of a major migration project in Brussels. You will transition interfaces from SAP PI/PO to SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI) and lead planning, architecture, design, implementation, migration, testing and validation across enterprise systems.

The role requires strong expertise in SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and integration architecture, with analytical and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
• Expert-level knowledge of SAP PI/PO.
• Strong experience with SAP BTP.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies: IDocs, RFC, JCo, SAP ABAP.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture.
• Experience with migration projects from SAP PI/PO to SAP CPI.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead SAP Integration Suite Consultant to take technical ownership of a major migration project involving the transition of interfaces from SAP PI/PO to SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).

The consultant will lead the planning, architecture, design, implementation, migration, testing, and validation of integration interfaces, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across enterprise systems.

This role requires strong expertise in SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, integration architecture, and SAP technologies, combined with strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for the migration of SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).
• Analyse, assess, and document existing SAP PI/PO interfaces.
• Evaluate architectural differences between SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI.
• Define migration strategies and technical adaptation plans.
• Design, configure, and implement integration flows in SAP CPI.
• Lead the migration of interfaces while ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
• Analyse and optimise message processing, transformations, and integration flows.
• Perform comprehensive functional, technical, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex integration and migration issues.
• Coordinate with technical and functional stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Ensure integration solutions follow architectural standards and best practices.
• Document configurations, technical decisions, interfaces, and migration activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to internal teams.
• Support and mentor other integration consultants where required.
• Provide post-migration support and resolve incidents related to SAP CPI.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the integration architecture and processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
• Expert-level knowledge of SAP PI/PO.
• Strong experience with SAP BTP.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong experience with SAP integration technologies, including:

  • RFC
  • JCo
  • SAP ABAP
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture.
• Experience with SAP PI/PO configuration, message handling, data transformation, and flow optimisation.
• Proven experience with SAP PI/PO to SAP CPI migration projects.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities, particularly in complex migration environments.
• Experience with integration testing and test management.
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
• Ability to take technical ownership and lead integration activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Experience in the public transport sector.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public and Private Cloud.
• Experience working on large-scale SAP transformation programmes.

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial/Civil Engineering, Business/Commercial Management with strong IT knowledge, or equivalent relevant qualification.

Working Arrangement
