This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Fullstack Developer MEAN or MERN in Europe.

In this role, you will lead full-stack development across modern JavaScript ecosystems, working on impactful web applications from concept to deployment. You’ll architect scalable solutions, guide technical decisions, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital products. The position offers exposure to multiple industries and product types, balancing hands‑on engineering with leadership responsibilities. You will operate in a remote‑first environment with talented peers, driving technical excellence and contributing to innovative, fast‑moving projects across Europe.

Accountabilities
  • Lead full-stack development across backend, frontend, database, and DevOps layers, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering.
  • Design and implement robust application architecture using Node.js, Angular or React, and modern database technologies.
  • Write and maintain Unit and Integration Tests for both backend and frontend codebases.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, project planning, and agile rituals to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and performant web applications.
  • Support continuous improvement, providing technical guidance and best practices to the development team.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in web application development, with deep expertise in JavaScript‑based backend frameworks such as Node.js and Express.
  • Strong professional experience with frontend frameworks including Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Solid understanding of databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and experience writing single‑threaded Node.js applications.
  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS and proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and proven ability to work in a fully remote environment.
  • Nice‑to‑have skills include Python or Go development experience and knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
