Optimus Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support major pharmaceutical projects in the Flemish region of Belgium. The role combines E&I expertise with project coordination for on-site execution.

Ideal candidates have a strong E&I background, exposure to pharmaceutical or process industries, and are willing to work onsite in Flanders. English is required; Dutch/Flemish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Combined Electrical & Instrumentation background required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas or similar complex process industries.
• Pharma/GMP experience is advantageous but not required.
• Previous roles as E&I Engineer, Senior Engineer or Lead preferred.

E&I Engineer / Lead – Pharmaceutical Projects – Belgium

I am currently looking for experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers to support major pharmaceutical engineering projects across the Flemish region of Belgium.

The requirement is specifically for engineers combining Electrical and Instrumentation experience, rather than purely electrical profiles.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical & Instrumentation engineering
• Technical design and engineering coordination
• Electrical systems and equipment
• Instrumentation and field devices
• Review of technical documentation
• Coordination with multidisciplinary project teams
• Supplier and contractor coordination
• Support during construction and commissioning
• Troubleshooting and technical project support

Requirements:

• Strong combined Electrical & Instrumentation background
• Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas or another complex process industry
• Pharmaceutical / GMP experience advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience as an E&I Engineer, Senior Engineer or Lead
• Comfortable working onsite in Flanders, Belgium
• English required
• Dutch/Flemish advantageous but not mandatory
• Freelance and permanent candidates considered
• Interest in a long-term opportunity in Belgium
