CellCarta Biosciences Inc. in Belgium is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to perform molecular testing in our Genomics Unit. You will contribute to DNA and RNA extractions and run analyses using the latest technologies, with attention to accuracy and documentation.

Working in an ISO 15189-compliant environment, you will collaborate with a team, maintain data in the LIMS, and help interpret results while growing your skills in genomics and clinical research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or Biochemistry.
• Experience in a molecular lab is a plus.
• Ability to use Word, Excel and a database or willingness to learn.

Laboratory Technician I, Genomics Services

Are you a recent graduate seeking to launch your career in genomics and biotech? We are actively looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician I to join our Genomics Unit. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our cutting‑edge laboratory, performing intricate molecular testing. Summary

You will be partly responsible for carrying out molecular laboratory analyses within our Genomics Unit. In this lab, in addition to DNA and/or RNA extractions, you will also perform molecular analyses using the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized molecular analyses of varying complexity on different platforms
• Control the operation of analysis equipment and report malfunctions
• Monitor lab processes and record data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
• Prepare analyses, equipment, and samples according to testing requirements
• Document the laboratory work performed
• Assist with data interpretation

Education

• Professional bachelor's degree in Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or Biochemistry

Main Requirements

• Prior experience in a molecular laboratory is a plus
• Able to use a computer (Word, Excel) and a database, or willing to learn
• Flexible, communicative, and enjoys working in a team
• Works within a quality system (ISO 15189:2012), requiring accuracy and the ability to work in a planned and documented manner
• Able to express ideas fluently, both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English
• Strong reporting skills for processing results
• Flexible and enthusiastic working attitude, with decisiveness

Working Conditions

• Full-time position, 100% onsite,
• Shifted workweek:Employees are required to work Mondays and Saturdays. Sundays are off, plus one additional weekday off, which can be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
